Dear people who don't know how to drive on snow/ice in my area,
Just because there's a clear bit down the centre of the road that doesn't have snow/ice on it, doesn't mean I can drive on the snow/ice to get out of your way when you're going too fast.
Please turn on your lights when it's sleeting - I can't see you shooting around the corner if you don't have them on and get out of the way.
Please note that YOU DO NOT HAVE SNOW TYRES ON YOUR CAR - which means you should be going SLOWLY!!!! Trust me, I'm used to driving on snow having spent two winters living in Norway (with snow tyres - oh how I miss you!!). Driving along as if there is no snow/ice is asking for trouble even if you have a large four wheel drive vehicle which takes up half the road. By the way my Smartcar can't miraculously drive over the parked cars to get out of the way.
MeDear Local council,
You knew about this weather coming a long time in advance, so why have you run out of salt/grit for the roads?
We have a severe weather warning tonight in London and the South East. Yes, I know that the UK weather forecasters sometimes get in wrong, but snow and sleet is forecast and if it's freezing overnight there will be accidents tomorrow!!
MeDear silly work colleague,
Thank you for sending me this picture of your snow art. I'm sure this will stand as a symbol to all that is ridiculous in the UK when it snows.
You made my day.
