I don't think I'm going to have the energy to go up to London on Friday at this rate. I've knackered my back and this week is shaping up to be along the same lines as last week - which means by Friday I'm going to be dead on my feet.

Much as I'd like to see Jameses - in all honesty I'd much rather have gone to see him on the Saturday, and I took too long to decide about that, so missed my chance.

So - rather than waste my Union Chapel ticket, if you are in the UK email me with your name and address and I'll pop it to you care of snail mail. No payment required! :)

Pre-launch press conference, Buzz Aldrin addresses the press 1969.

Posted at [livejournal.com profile] moonshot_69 and can be found HERE (totally from my imagination of course!) :)

Too busy for almost everything... keep forgetting the time and doing stuff and then it's suddenly LATE and I should have eaten and stuff!

Anyhoo - managed to make a manip of JM as Buzz Aldrin. Check it out over here at [livejournal.com profile] moonshot_69 which is a new fun community!

I was sitting quite a way back and the lighting was terrible, so I'm sure there are lots of fantastic photos out there which are much better than mine!

Anyhoo - here's a few and more can be found HERE

Teaser (I can't remember why he was making this face, but I think it's cute! Click for bigger):

Overall a fun time was had! :)

Union Chapel was good - although not quite as good as the Borderline for quality of sound/guitar playing and keeping in toon, but I dun care because he's still pretty and I had a blast chatting with lots of people.

Speaking of which [livejournal.com profile] sueworld2003 is offline again because VMedia are idiots and have cocked up her Internet connection again! *stabs them*

Will post in a bit more detail and possibly with photos later, but have to do family stuff.

A summary:

  • James Marsters is very pretty
  • He's also very gracious to his fans and happy to answer questions he's answered again and again and again (he even remembers what he said before)
  • Don't anyone ever ask him about his own ideas for a show EVER AGAIN (I mean it, I may smack you!)
  • This gig was one of the best I've seen and the sound was pretty darn good (especially as he kept it acoustic) - very wise James *pats him on the head*
  • English rain can get you very very wet and soggy (and putting a coat back on after a couple of hours and finding it is still wet is just... nasty)
  • The Borderline is a good venue - but standing for nearly 4 hours makes my legs and back ache
  • I managed to work out how to use my fancy camera and even got some half decent photos!
  • Meeting online friends is still fun and FINALLY meeting some online friends I kept missing at other venues is even better :) (Caroline, I promise I will try and speak some French on Friday)

So on to some photos:
cut to spare the very dial up unfriendlyness )
And today I am in marking hell, but on Friday evening I'm hoping JM will be in fine voice again and hope to see some of you there!

Some people may have seen this already - but there's a nice interview with Anthony Head here.

I'll be at the Borderline tonight, so if you see me wave! I'm hopeless at recognising people (short sighted and useless memory!) so grab me if you want to say hello! :)

here's a photo of me when we visited Tussaud's in New York )

I have no idea why - but this made me laugh today. So silly!!

I am a bad fangirl - I completely forgot there were tickets to be had today!!

I've been following The Rift ticket buying by my Lj friends, and I'm so pleased all those who wanted a ticket have managed to get one!

At one point I was seriously caught up in the idea of buying a ticket - I very nearly did! Then I realised the main reason I would buy a ticket would actually be to meet up with people and I really have very little interest in getting a signed photo or seeing the guests talking about Torchwood.

Don't get me wrong - I don't mind Torchwood. It think it's a typical BBC sci-fi bit of fun, and I am enjoying this series far more than the first one (which dropped out of my viewing schedule because I was bored with it fairly quickly). I'm seeing JM twice that week at the Borderline and Union Chapel, so another concert wouldn't be a lure either.

I've just realised that I've only listened to JM's Waterfall album once all the way through, there's a lot of other music I'm listening to which is more my style. Oh dear!! I'm really not a good fangirl am I??

I shall happily read the reports from those who go, and I shall miss seeing my online friends for a whole day of chatting and fun, but paying out £80 plus travelling and a hotel - no.

Have fun everyone!
